SMALL-SCALE PROGRESSIVE LADY FARMER AWARDS
With the help of Maadhev patrons, through our family trust, we have increased the number of awards given to progressive small-scale lady farmers in Karnataka and Bihar to 40 in the year 2025. With your support, we plan to expand to 100 including the states of Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. The program is implemented through government grass root level NGOs called as KVK (Krishi Vignyana Kendra) run under the umbrella of ICAR.

YEAR 2025
For the year 2025, Maadhev and supporting patrons gave out 25 small lady farmer awards in Bihar, Karnataka and Bihar and is planning to expand to a minimum of two awards in each state of India.
We work with the local agricultural scientists of KVKs (Krishi Vignyana Kendra) to select the deserving lady farmers. Here are few shots showing the scientists going to the field and evaluating the crops. The scientists who work at grass root level are also excited to volunteer for this work.
Below is the picture o Deputy commissioner of Bidar appreciating the effort of Maadhev's patrons in awarding the well deserved 26 lady farmers engaged in animal husbandry from different districts of Karnataka in the premise of Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries University, Bidar.
On Jan 29th, five more small-scale Lady Farmers awarded in a small village Suttur near Mysore. Following are the ladies selected and KVK scientists visiting the various farms to evaluate the yields.

YEAR 2024
On Feb 9, 2024, at Krishi Vignyaa Kendra (KVK) of Suttur, Mysore district, Maadhev and supporting patrons awarded 5 lady farmers and an entrepreneur Rs 10K each as part of the giving back to the farming community (picture below).
YEAR 2023
Maadhev instituted small lady farmer awards in the year 2023 by giving out two awards of Rs. 10k to each lady farmer, an award memento, a fruit basket, certificate, shawl and a garland. Mahadevappa family trust is committed to giving out awards for the next 30 years.
