Saffron is from Pampore region, commonly known as Saffron bowl of Kashmir produces one of the highest potent form of saffron. It's soil is considered optimal for the growth of Saffron, enriching the content of Crocin (color), Safranal (aroma) and Picocrocin (flavor). Hence Pampore valley is one of the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) recognized sites in India. 

Sourced from a micro-entrepreneur who is empowered by women labor. It is harvested once a year at the end of October in small quantities making it one of the most expensive commodity.

Has long red strands with minimal yellow part.
